Since its establishment in 1989, the University of Cyprus has consistently pursued excellence, fulfilling its mission to the Cypriot society. Today, the University is recognized as the most important research and higher education institution of Cyprus, and has also, moreover, been honoured as a 'distinguished Mediterranean University'.
ELN (European Literacy Network)
ELN stands for European Literacy Network. This network is funded by COST Action IS1401 - Strengthening Europeans' Capabilities by Establishing the European Literacy Network (ELN). Through this Action, reading and writing research communities across Europe are joining, integrating their findings, and aligning their agendas so that they can:
- Develop an integrated and inclusive approach to foundational literacy across Europe;
- Devise a comprehensive framework of developmental aspects of literacy and education in a digital world;
- Further improve literacy technologies.

Training School:'Eye-tracking Use for Reading Research', will take place at the University of Cyprus Old Campus, 31 October - 2 November 2016
WG1+WG3 Workshop, will take place at the University of Cyprus New Campus, 4 - 5 November 2016
Venue
The meeting will be held at the Old University Campus (on Kallipoleos) and New University Campus in Nicosia, Cyprus. For more information and a location map please click on the Venue link at the top menu.
The Center for Applied Neuroscience (CAN) will host the Training School at the Old Campus for the first three days.
