LinkSCEEM Fellowships


The LinkSCEEM-2 project aims at the establishment of a high performance computing (HPC) eco-system in the Eastern Mediterranean region. To achieve its mission, the project links e-resources, provides user support and training, carries out targeted networking activities and develops and implements a well-structured HPC resource allocation mechanism. The LinkSCEEM-2 project has received funding from the European Community's seventh framework programme under grant agreement no RI-261600.

LinkSCEEM will award a number of fellowships to promising scientists in the early stage of their career, to attend the conference.

The deadline for submitting a fellowship application is Monday 30th of September 2013.
Successful applicants will be notified by the 15th October. Succesful candidates will be registered for the conference automatically.



Criteria

Fellowship applicants should fulfil the following criteria:

  1. Have a background relevant to one of the conference topics
  2. Reside in the Eastern Mediterranean region* (please note that travel from outside of the region will not be funded)
  3. Be in the early stage of their career (PhD, post-doctoral level will be prioritized)

*Eastern Mediterranean countries are defined as: Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Cyprus, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Palestine and Greece.

All applicants who are awarded a fellowship are required to present a poster at the conference. A title and an abstract should be given on the fellowship application form. Succesful candidates will be registered for the conference automatically.
