The European Workshop of Imagery and Cognition (EWIC) is a scientific meeting that takes place biennially since 1986. It is devoted to the study of the various forms of mental imagery (e.g., visual, auditory, and motor imagery) as well as related topics (e.g., perception, attention, working memory, spatial cognition, and language comprehension) using behavioural methods and neuroscience techniques. The program of the workshop contains oral and poster presentations as well as invited talks by renowned scientists. The 14th EWIC will take place in the town of Pafos, Cyprus and is organized by the Experimental Psychology Lab, Department of Psychology, University of Cyprus.

During the workshop, the European Research Council (ERC) will organize an information session on granting schemes that are relevant to imagery and cognition  (e.g., panel SH4, panels related to neurosciences and medical imagery, ERC in HORIZON 2020 etc.)

EWIC 2014 is sponsored by the European Society for Cognitive Psychology (ESCOP) through an Activity Funding award. The Cognitive Science Society will award the best student paper with a topic on cognitive science with a prized of $250USD and a complimentary membership to the society for 1 year.
